Lacrosse, a sport invented in Canada, is the fastest growing sport in the States. For guys, it's known to be a highly physical sport, but for girls, it's considered non-contact.
Here in the States, lacrosse is more popular on the East Coast. Kids start playing club lacrosse at a young age and they play at level of lacrosse that is more elite.
While lacrosse is becoming increasingly popular on the West Coast, kids don't usually start picking up the sport until they reach high school. No matter how good you get playing West Coast lacrosse, it's hard to compete with the level of play on the East Coast.
